January 26th, at 9:00pm marks the 313th anniversary of the great Cascadia Earthquake of 1700. A 620 mile stretch of coastline from Northern California, all of Oregon and Washington to Southern British Columbia was involved. Tsunami waves even impacted Japan some 10-15 hours later with 6-10 foot waves destroying many villages and claiming lives without notice to the citizens.

Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Deputy Director Chuck Wallace asks "How prepared are we for an impact by a large earthquake and possibly tsunami waves? Wallace reccomends this 10 minute video on Megathrust Earthquakes by Lesley McClurg from Quest Northwest. http://science.kqed.org/quest/video/megathrust-earthquakes/
