Kilmer Kicks Off Listening Tour with Military and Small Business Leaders

After officially joining Congress last week, Representative Derek Kilmer is already back in our region and kicking off a month-long Listening Tour to solicit input on important issues from members of the community. While home this week, Representative Kilmer will have a full schedule including meeting with local Military and small business leaders.

Today, Representative Kilmer will meet with military leaders and receive a briefing and tour from Naval Base Kitsap. He will receive a briefing and tour from Joint Base Lewis-McChord tomorrow as well. It was previously announced that Representative Kilmer will serve on the Armed Services Committee as well as the Science and Technology Committee in the House.

Also on Friday, Representative Kilmer will attend events put on by the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber and Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce. He will make brief remarks to the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce. These meetings will be followed up with further Listening Tour stops on economic development with constituents and community members.
