Shelton Bank Robbery Suspect in Custody, No Bomb Located

On Friday, January 4, 2013 at about 5:00 pm the Key Bank located at 410 West Railroad Avenue in Shelton, WA was robbed by a man who indicated that he had a bomb.  After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot.  Shelton Police Officers and Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect in his vehicle a short distance away where he was taken into custody without incident.  The cash taken from the bank was recovered at the location of arrest.  There was no bomb or other types of weapons located.

 

The suspect was identified as a 67 year old Shelton man, currently in custody at the Mason County Jail.
