High Wind Watch, Snow Flurries, and Winter Storm Watch Hit Parts of Grays Harbor County

Montesano, WA - The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon. Expected winds are 30-40mph sustained with possible gusts to 60mph. The peak time period for high wind gusts is predicted to be just after midnight into Wednesday morning. This should NOT be a significant wind event. This is a usual winter wind storm for the coast.

Chuck Wallace with the Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Agency tells us many areas of the county, including the coast, may see passing snow flurries before 10am today, then rain, and then rain/flurries after 4pm this afternoon. Snow levels will be changing from 200-800 feet throughout the day.

Use caution on the roadways. During these transitional weather events, roads will be slick with a coating of snow or black ice.
