AHS Senior Paige Kuhn Named Aberdeen Rotary's Student of the Month

AHS Senior Paige Kuhn Named Aberdeen Rotary's Student of the Month

Aberdeen, WA - The Aberdeen Rotary Club has announced Paige Kuhn November Student of the Month. Paige, the daughter of Tim and Dawn Kuhn, is in the Top Ten of her class with a 3.93 gpa and  looks forward to attending Eastern Washington University to major in science and pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene.

In 2008, Paige started a program called "Kid's Helping Kids". Over the years she has collected around 500 items of school supplies to help needy kids in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties as well as other areas of Washington State.

Paige is captain of both cheer and golf teams. She holds a school record in golf as well as being an all-state participant all years of high school. She was also named 1st team all-league each year and named MVP twice.

Paige has served as President of both her Junior and Senior Class and is a member of FBLA and National Honor Society. Earlier this year she was named Miss Apple Valley in a preliminary Miss America pageant and looks forward to competing for Miss Washington in July.

She has been awarded the Centurylink/Seahawks Student Athlete of the Week; Aberdeen Revitalization Movement-Youth Leadership Award; Elmer's Community Service Award; Miss Apple Valley Talent winner; Miss Washington Outstanding Teen Youth Mentoring Award; and, Bobcat of the Week.     

Each year the Rotary Club of Aberdeen honors Aberdeen High School Seniors through the Student of the Month recognition and scholarship program. One senior is recognized each month October through May. Two of these eight students are then selected in June for either the $1000 “Blue” or $2000 “Gold” scholarship to the school of their choice.
