Disaster Exercises in Elma Wednesday

Elma, WA - A full scale disaster exercise today might turn some heads in the East County, Chuck Wallace with the county Emergency Management Agency tells us an exercise involving Williams/Northwest Pipeline, Grays Harbor Energy Corporation, and various Grays Harbor response agencies will conduct Earthquake, leak, explosion, injuries and response drills at the Grays Harbor Energy facility off of the Keys Road in Elma.

Wallace tells us this exercise will be extremely beneficial to all since there will be a fire, possible injuries, road closures etc. Signs will be placed on roadway to warn citizens of the exercise, and media will be notified of the event. One can expect to see several emergency vehicles in the area during the exercise.
