High Wind Watch, and Flood Warning for the Chehalis

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Advisory indicating rain and windy conditions Monday night thru noon on Tuesday in Grays Harbor County. Sustained winds will be 20-35mph with gusts to 50mph are expected along the coast beginning @ 2am. Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is alerting all residents to prepare for possible power outages due to downed trees and power lines.

They have also issued a Flood Warning for the Chehalis River. The Chehalis River is expected to reach flood stage of 21 feet at 10am Tuesday morning and then crest at 10am Wednesday morning at 21.31 feet and then recede below flood stage at 10am Thursday. Flooding is expected to be very minor. No other rivers are expected to flood during this event.
