DSHS Aberdeen Community Service Office to Relocate Temporarily

Posted by David Haviland on June 12, 2009 at 5:59 am (2048 social interactions)

ABERDEEN - On Monday, June 29, the DSHS Aberdeen Community Service Office will open the doors of its new temporary site located at 304 West Wishkah. The CSO will operate from this location for the next 18 to 24 months while we have the permanent office, located at 415 West Wishkah, remodeled.

The CSO provides food, medical, child care and work-related assistance to eligible individuals in Grays Harbor County.  Three other DSHS offices are also located at the permanent site now - Child Protective Services and the Developmental Disabilities and Vocational Rehabilitation Divisions.

The remodel will make better use of the space available and  make room for Home and Community Services, the DSHS office that provides Medicaid services, to move into the building as well.  "Consolidating multiple DSHS offices into one building not only saves the state and taxpayers money, but also makes it an easier ‘one-stop shop' for customers," said Aberdeen CSO Administrator Karen Klinger.

The hours and contact information will remain the same while the Aberdeen CSO is in its temporary location.

Office Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for scheduled holidays.
