Mason County Sheriff Seeks Assistance After Patrol Car Fired On

Mason County, WA - At approximately 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2012, a Mason County Deputy Sheriff was on patrol on the Overland Road, approximately 1-2 miles from W. Highland Road, when person(s) unknown shot at, and struck, the Deputy’s black patrol pick-up truck.  The shot was believed to had come from the hillside just east of the Deputy’s location.  The Deputy was uninjured, but his patrol truck was hit on top of the engine hood, close to the front of the truck.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to find the person(s) responsible.  If anyone has any information about the shooting incident to include anyone who may have seen or heard the shot, or who may have heard rumors or conversations of people that may have been involved, you are asked to help by calling the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at (360)427-7761 and provide your information.  Thank you.
