Ocosta Collision Blocks 105, Sends Three to Hospital

Ocosta, WA - A three-vehicle collision on the Westport Highway last night blocked 105 for about 3 hours near Rustmeyer road in Ocosta. The Washington State Patrol reports a Northbound 1999 Jeep Cherokee crossed the center line and struck a 2006 Lincoln pickup that swerved to avoid it, the Cherokee then collided head on with a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The Washington State Patrol reports it happened just after 7 Wednesday evening, Traffic was moving again by 10:30 last night.
A 73 year old Puyallup woman, along with a 35 and an 8 year old Aberdeen residents from the Pontiac, were transported to Community Hospital with various injuries. The driver of the Lincoln, a 38 year old Aberdeen man, was uninjured and said "I think my truck saved my life tonight." The Puyallup woman was charged with negligent driving in the second degree.
