Missing Shelton Man Found Dead

SHELTON, Wash. - A missing 59 year old Shelton man was found dead today as the search for him continued off of the Cole Road south of Fawn Lake.  William Wright was found by a K-9 Search team about ¼ mile south of his residence in a grassy wooded area about 50 feet off of the roadway.  Investigators were not able to immediately determine the cause of death.  Deputies do not suspect foul play.

Wright Reported MissingMr. Wright was reported missing last Friday morning.  Wright was reported to have left his residence sometime between Thursday night at 10 PM and 6 AM on Friday Morning.  The Mason County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search & rescue mission in and around Wright’s residence, using ground searchers, aircraft, and K-9 units.  Wright was not located on the initial search.   A second search was started this morning with Wrights body found a short time later.

 

Mason County Coroner Wes Stockwell said a post mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
