Mason County Fire Uncovers Thousands in Stolen Property

Mason County, WA - At about 1220 PM Monday Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene of a structure fire on the 900 Block of NE Old Belfair Highway to assist Mason County Fire Protection District #2 with Traffic Control.  While at the scene, Firefighters and Deputies discovered a large quantity of stolen property.  The property includes bicycles, a motorcycle, guns, musical instruments, jewelry, computers, power tools, and many other articles.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group is working diligently to identify the owners of the recovered property and will be contacting victims as the investigation proceeds.  Detectives have identified persons of interest in this matter and expect to make arrests at the conclusion of the investigation.  The value of the recovered property is estimated by Detectives at $10,000.
