Hoquiam Fire Displaces 2, No Injuries

Hoquiam, WA - A house fire in Hoquiam this afternoon displaced 2, Interim Chief Paul Dean tells us the fire, reported in the 900 block of Alder just before 3 today, was spotted on the shake roof by neighbors "It's been a tough fire to get to because it's contained in the attic, and the wooden shakes haven't helped much. It's under control at this time, we're just tearing down small pockets in the ceiling."
Dean said both occupants of the home were outside when fire trucks arrived, Aberdeen units were on scene helping to keep the fire confined to the single family home. The Red Cross has been notified.
