SouthShore Mall Has a New Owner

Aberdeen, WA - The SouthShore Mall has a new owner this morning. Mike Kohan, a New York investor has purchased and revitalized multiple malls across the midwest, including Marion Center in Ohio and the Jamestown Mall in Missouri.
Kohan said "We want to increase the traffic, we want to make things happen." The New York investor said he plans to make some repairs to the mall, and as he put it, do what needs to be done to get tenants, and traffic, back.
Aberdeen Mayor Bill Simpson said last night "I had a chance to talk to him on the phone, he has a lot of good ideas to make things go at the SouthShore Mall again."
The new owner said that he plans to hit the ground running, locally, management said they should know more about the deal later today.
