Grays Harbor PUD Cancels Planned Outage South of Montesano

Aberdeen, WA - Grays Harbor PUD has modified plans for the replacement of 100 foot poles spanning Highway 12, allowing the work to take place without disruption of power to customers in the area south of Montesano. The PUD previously announced a planned outage scheduled for Thursday, August 30, 2012 to conduct the work but cancelled it today after indentifying a way to conduct the installation work without any disruption of service.

“We know any disruption of power is difficult for customers and businesses, and we always try to minimize the impact as much as possible,” said Rick Lovely, General Manager of Grays Harbor PUD.  “This was a case where, with close cooperation with our Line Crews, we were able to rework the plans and find a way to do the necessary work without conducting the outage.”

The outage originally had been planned to begin at 8am on August 30, 2012.
