Montesano, WA - Grays Harbor PUD plans to conduct a planned power outage impacting about 300 customers located along Highway 107 and Highway 101 south of Montesano as well as a few business customers located in Montesano. The outage is scheduled for Thursday, August 30, 2012 beginning at 8am and lasting about 12 hours.  The purpose of the outage is to replace 100 foot poles spanning Highway 12. Customers within the outage area are being notified by letter.

The outage will impact customers in the following areas:

  • Certain businesses located immediately to the north of the Highway 12 overpass at the Montesano Main Street exit
  • Customers located in the area of Highway 107 south of Montesano to the intersection with Highway 101
  • Customers located in the area of Highway 101 from north of the intersection with Highway 107 to just before the Pacific County line, including the North River and Arctic areas.

Customers within the planned outage area are advised to protect sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, and microwaves by unplugging those items and leaving them disconnected until power is fully restored.  In addition, customers are advised that the length of the outage (12 hours) is an estimate and power could be restored at anytime. Therefore, please take necessary precautions if there are plans to do electrical work or repairs during that period of time.
