High Speed Chase Starts in Westport, Ends in Elma

Westport, WA - A High speed chase this morning started with a stolen vehicle report in Westport, and ended in Elma. 
Westport Police Chief Bill Gibson tells us a 1995 Chevy Pickup was reported stolen from Ocean Gold about 4:30 Wednesday morning. Twenty minutes after the officer put out a notice on the vehicle, it was spotted by Aberdeen Police.
Eye witnesses said speeds on Highway 12 neared 90 miles per hour through Central Park as morning commuters headed out.
Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimentel with the County Sheriff's Department said spike strips stopped the vehicle near Shouweiler road in Elma around 6:30 this morning.
The Aberdeen Police department tells us a 44 year old Olympia man was booked into Grays Harbor County jail on charges that included possession of stolen property and felony eluding.
