Aberdeen Woman Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Father With Firearm

Aberdeen, WA - Police have a woman in custody after she allegedly pointed a firearm at her father during an argument yesterday in Aberdeen.
Sgt. Art Laur tells us at about 11:09am, Aberdeen Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 1800 block of Bel Aire Avenue regarding an assault involving a firearm.

Initial investigation indicated that the suspect (a 33 year old Aberdeen resident) was involved in a verbal altercation with her father (a 58 year old Aberdeen resident) while inside the home. At some point during the argument the female produced a handgun and pointed it at her father, threatening to shoot him.

The suspect in this case was taken into custody without incident on charges of assault in the first degree. She is currently in custody at the Aberdeen Police Department. The firearm used in this incident has been located. The victim was not injured.
