Body Washes Ashore in Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores, WA - At approximately 4 this morning, the Ocean Shores Police Department discovered a body that had washed to shore near the Ocean Lake Beach Approach. An officer on patrol saw the body near the tide line. The body was that of a male, clad only in red swim trunks. The body was severely decomposed, which has made initial identification impossible.

Deputy Chief Russ Fitts with the Ocean Shores Police Department tells KBKW the Grays Harbor County Coroner will be scheduling an autopsy to determine identity and cause of death.

On June 12th, 14 year old Chester Jellesed went missing in the surf near Westport. Jellesed was last seen wearing red swim trunks at the time. Jellesed’s family has been informed of this body discovery by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office. At this time the identity has not been confirmed.
