Aberdeen, WA - Stafford Creek Corrections Center will honor its 2012 Annual Award Winners with a Staff Appreciation Event in the facility’s Visit Room May 30th. Sheri Izat with Stafford Creek tells us awards include Supervisor of the Year Pam Iverson, Employee of the Year Bob Alekinski, Support Staff of the Year Cynthia Mitchell, and Counselor of the Year Cindy Tully. Also awarded will be Correctional Officer of the Year William Crane, Volunteer of the Year Donald Thornburg, as well as Team of the Year Visiting (Sgt. Rick Richardson, C/O Lynn Hamilton, C/O Tim McNew, C/O Timothy Bell, C/O Hicam Lamsouguer, and Andy Burke); and Family Friendly (Dawn Taylor and Ruth Clemens). Izatt said they will also recognize Superintendent Pat Glebe who has been awarded by Governor Christine Gregoire with the 2012 Governor's Award for Leadership in Management. Superintendent Glebe will be officially recognized by Governor Gregoire at a luncheon on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Governor’s Mansion. The DOC honored award recipients today at the state Labor and Industries headquarters in Tumwater.
