Shots Fired at Monte Courthouse

Montesano, WA- The reported shooting at the Grays Harbor County Courthouse has put the surrounding Montesano area on lockdown.

The suspect, according to KING5, is Michael Thomas and is described as a stocky male in his mid-20’s, wearing a blue shirt and black pants, with sandy brown hair. No vehicle description has been given. The suspect is considered to be very dangerous and should not be approached. Hoquiam K-9 Unit is on-scene.

Montesano residents are urged to stay indoors and to lock their doors.

A Corrections Officer has been taken to up to Grays Harbor Community Hospital; the victim’s condition is un-known.

Officers have currently surrounded a building in Montesano where they think that the suspect may be hiding.
