Hoquiam Native Sings With Her Wings

Hoquiam, WA - Returning from a 100-day deployment in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Hoquiam native and Air Force Tech Sgt. Kim Lively is also the vocalist for the AFCENT Band Afterburner
There have been so many great moments, I loved that we were able to tour the [inaudible] in Afghanistan in December because you know that they really needed us there. They needed music, they needed joy. - Tech. Sgt. Kim Lively
Sergeant Lively has been in the Air Force for 16 1/2 years, she tells us during her deployment, she sang music to thousands of deployed troops plus local civilians. Lively said it was an honor to sing for deployed troops as well as perform for children in Southwest Asia.
There's nothing better than being on stage and playing for an audience that loves what you're doing.
Stateside, Lively is stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. Click "Read More" to view a brief video interview.
