Go-Cart Racer Runs, Crashes, Runs

Hoquiam, WA - Officers broke off a slow-speed chase at the Riverside bridge in Hoquiam yesterday morning when a Hoquiam man on a race-style go-cart was seen speeding around town around 11:20. Detective Sargent Shane Krohn tells us one officer observed the man at about 40 miles per hour in a 30 just before he travelled the wrong way up Levee street and across the Riverside bridge, weaving in and out of traffic. Krohn said by the time officers looped around the correct way via the Simpson Avenue bridge, the suspect had crashed the go-cart and fled on foot.
