Westport Highway Crash Kills 1

Westport, WA - A Grayland man is dead after loosing control of his car on Highway 105 Saturday. The Washington State Patrol reports 31 year old Jeremiah James Marsh crossed the center line in his 2006 Volvo at about 11:00. When Marsh overcorrected, he lost control and went off the road, striking a power pole and knocking out power to about 2500 customers from Westport to Tokeland.
A truck in the oncoming lane swerved to avoid Marsh and hit a sign on the Southbound shoulder, that driver sustained minor injuries. The State Patrol tells us the highway was blocked for about 5 hours while the scene was investigated. Power was restored just before 10 Saturday night.
