Hoquiam, WA - Police are still searching for a shoeless suspect this morning after a burglary in the 2600 block of Queets Avenue in Hoquiam. Detective Sgt. Shane Krohn tells us the homeowners heard noises before 5 this morning and found a man in their home, the man then rode away on a mountain bike with a bag of stolen merchandise.
Krohn said Grays Harbor and Aberdeen K-9 units were called in but were unable to pick up a track due to the weather, officers did find shoes believed to belong to the suspect.
Krohn said when the suspect rode his bike past him in an unmarked car, he hit the lights, the suspect dropped the bag and rode between houses. Some game system games and numerous knives were recovered. The suspect remains at large, described as 5-10, slender build, dark clothing wearing a stocking cap, minus shoes.
