Inmates Fake Injury By Assault With Cribbage Board

Aberdeen, WA - Two women in the Aberdeen Jail tried to con their jailers into a trip to the hospital this week, when one asked the other to hit her with a cribbage board.

Police Captain John Green says surveillance video showed Melody Torez asking Angel Cunningham to hit her in the face with a cribbage board, when that didn't work, she hit herself Wednesday evening. Torez then laid down in the shower and Cunningham told jailers that she had fallen and was convulsing.

When responders found no real injuries, corrections officers investigated further, leading to the discovery, and false reporting charges for the duo.
