Fawn Lake, WA - A 19 year old Fawn Lake woman reported to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office that she had been the victim of an attempted abduction as she checked her mailbox at Fawn Lake yesterday. The woman told Sheriff’s Deputies that she was at her mailbox checking her mail when two adult males pulled up beside her in a blue van. One of the suspects who was described as a stocky white male, about 5-10 with a big belly, dressed in a hoodie and dark pants came up from behind and grabbed her. According to the woman the man tried to drag her into the van. The two struggled and the woman was able to escape and get back to her home. She was not injured and called 911 immediately. Sheriff’s Detectives and Deputies arrived a very few minutes after receiving the call. Chief Deputy Dean Byrd tells KBKW investigators conducted an immediate search of the area, but were unable to locate the van or the suspects. This case remains under investigation, with no suspects being identified yet. Deputies are asking if anyone has any information on this incident or spots any suspects, they should call the Mason County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
