SHELTON, Wash. - A 71 year old Lilliwaup man was hospitalized and his 64 year old wife terrorized this morning after a harrowing home invasion robbery that occurred before 7:00 Thursday morning. The incident took place at the couple’s residence in the 900 Block of Colony Surf Drive. The couple told Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies that they were awoken by a barking dog and when the husband investigated, he found people in his house.
Investigators say the robbers, a masked woman and two masked men, spent over an hour inside of the house assaulting and terrorizing the couple. When the robbers finally left, they had taken guns, safes, drugs, and the couple’s Kia Sedona Van.
Detectives say the stolen vehicle is described as a silver over blue, 2004, Kia Sedona Van with Washington handicapped license 88110DP. No good description of the suspects could be provided. If anyone spots the vehicle, do not approach the suspects. These suspects are considered armed and dangerous. 911 should be called immediately.
Mason County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dean Byrd tells KBKW detectives are following up several leads they have developed during the course of the investigation. Detectives hope to make arrests soon.
The male victim was treated and released at Mason General Hospital. The female victim did not require hospitalization.
