Hoquiam Couple Could Face Charges After Toddler Fails Drug Test

Hoquiam, WA - A Hoquiam couple who admitted to waiting nearly two hours after their 1 year old daughter suffered the effects of a narcotic could now face charges. Hoquiam Police Detective Sergeant Shane Krohn tells us Toxicology reports from the state crime lab show hair samples from the toddler tested positive for several controlled substances. The parents, aged 24 and 33, admitted to buying 8 milligram suboxone pills off the streets, and waiting for almost two hours after their youngest daughter ate one December 4th. Krohn said the case is being forwarded to the county prosecutor's office, the toddler and two other children remain in Child Protective Services custody.
