KELSO, Wash. - A 44-year-old Longview man who shot his ex-wife and her boyfriend was sentenced to more than 70 years in prison in Cowlitz County Superior Court.

Michael Lynn Feeney pleaded guilty Monday to murder charges in the April deaths of Dana Enyeart and Bruce Kamp.

The Daily News reports (http://is.gd/qVd7eV ) Judge Michael Evans was so moved by the brutality of the shootings and the devastation to the families that he wept as he imposed the sentence. Police say Feeney shot each victim seven times, emptying

his gun clip.

Feeney also wept as he apologized in court to the victims' families and his own children. The defense lawyer, Terry Mulligan, said Feeney lost all control because of a broken heart.
