Port Angeles, WA - Demolition work at the Elwha Dam is resuming Monday, about two weeks earlier than expected.      Work was suspended Nov. 1 for a "fish window" - to prevent sediment from harming the late fall run of chum salmon in the lower Elwha River.      The Peninsula Daily News reports (http://is.gd/4eWqIy ) the Olympic National Park says biologists confirm the salmon run has come to an end.

The Elwha and Glines Canyon dams are being removed in a $325 million project to restore one famous salmon runs to the river. The work will continue into 2014.

The public can monitor the work from webcams:      http://video-monitoring.com/construction/olympic/js.htm
