Aberdeen, WA - The Art Commission is one step closer to a Weatherwax memorial, Aberdeen City Councilwoman Kathy Hoder said they'll be looking at artist's work soon "We're going to select an artist, pretty soon you'll see some artwork."
Art Commission members suggested the memorial, in November of 2010, to commemorate the Weatherwax family and the contributions they have made to the city over the years.
The piece will be built with sandstone recovered from the JM Weatherwax Building, and will be located in the Simpson Triangle at Simpson and Division street, the former location of the Aberdeen Dough Boy.
