Aberdeen Welcomes Historic Buildings to It's Registry

Aberdeen, WA - The City of Aberdeen has it's first two buildings on the Historic Registry. Council last night accepted the recommendation to add the D&R Theatre and the Masonic building to the registry. Councilman Tim Alstrom said "It's exciting, the investment that those two owners put into those two buildings." The D&R was built in 1924, and the Masonic building, now home to The Grand Heron, was built shortly after the fire of 1903. Aberdeen Mayor Bill Simpson said they're hoping to see some of the city's homes added to the registry.
