Wind Storm Update - Power Restored

Posted by David Haviland on November 22, 2011 at 7:40 am (915 social interactions)

Aberdeen, WA - Power was restored to about 1200 customers total this morning. About 150 in the Tokeland area lost power just after 3 this morning, power was restored there by 6. The remainder affected were mostly in the Moclips and Taholah areas, that outage occurred at about 4am and was restored just after 7:30. The cause was not determined but Liz Anderson with the Grays Harbor PUD tells us most outages were likely weather related.

Roads:
Multiple trees were down obstructung Grays Harbor roadways eaarly this morning, including 101 on Cosi hilltop near milepost 79 where a tree blocked the southbound lane. The West Satsop road was blocked across both lanes, 1 mile in from middle Satsop. Crews also moved a tree to the side of the 700 block of Garden Hill road. Drivers may still see some tree debris, or fallen trees, in the roadway throughout the county as the winds continue and the ground remains saturated.

Delays and Closures:
Taholah School and Quinault Nation are both delayed 2 hours due to an earlier power outage.
