Aberdeen, WA - About 60 concerned citizens attended a Speak Up Forum this week at Aberdeen High School, the message "There is going to be fewer people, providing fewer services, with less funding, in the months to come."
Retired Superior Court Judge David Foscue said the state is facing cuts in services that have survived years of already drastic cuts. "We are long past the time of easy savings and efficiency's, we're at the point where we have to say that less is less."
Representatives from DSHS, K-12 and High Ed, Worksource and Department of Corrections discussed the impact of proposed budget cuts at Aberdeen High School, a school that itself could loose millions in Governor Christine Gregoire's most drastic proposals to shore up a $2-billion budget gap.
