Cities to Get Energy Frugal

Aberdeen, WA - Some Grays Harbor cities will be looking at their energy consumption in 2012, Vicki Cummings, Executive Director of the Grays Harbor Council of Governments explained 9 entities will be taking part in a state program "What they'll do is they'll go out and take at everyone's facilities and they'll make recommendations on what needs to be repaired, replaced, retrofitted. The GA's Office then fronts low interest loans to get the process started."
After the General Assistance energy audits, cities are offered low interest loans to make whatever level of repairs the city wants to buy into. Cummings said the audits are meant to be cost neutral, cities spend on repairs, what they're spending now on consumption.
