Montesano Seeks EMS Fee Increase

MONTESANO, Wash. - City officials would like input on a proposed $5 EMS fee increase. Finance Director Kristy Powell explained to the City Council at last night's meeting; "We need to have an equipment reserve build up, this will go to partly offset the cost of availability and partly to fund an equipment reserve fund."
A special hearing for the increase will be held at City Hall on November 8th, Powell said residents will also be notified in their water bills. With the increase, Monte EMS fees would be $17.12 per month.
