Sumner Reopens in Hoquiam

Hoquiam, WA - Response to a House fire in Hoquiam closed Sumner for a couple hours this morning, as crews responded to a structure fire at the base of the "Welcome to Hoquiam" sign. Captain David Joy said from the scene "Aberdeen arrived first Tom gave us a great size up on that, this is an abandoned building so we're not putting ay crews inside."

Aberdeen's Ariel truck shot water into the roof of the vacant home around 6 am. With most of the engines cleared from the scene now, one crew remains to watch for flare ups.
