Aberdeen School District Inches Toward Family-Friendly Hiring Policy

Aberdeen, WA - Aberdeen School District is working towards a more family-friendly hiring policy, School Superintendent Tom Opstad tells us changes to policy 5251 will give the district more wiggle room in smaller communities "this line is just, in coaching if we can't find someone and a family member is interested and they're qualified then it allows them."
Opstad said during the first reading of the proposed changes Tuesday night, that this brings the police more in line with state policy.
