Aberdeen Schools Locked Down Briefly as Authorities Search Area

Aberdeen, WA - Aberdeen Police searching for a burglary suspect prompted a brief lock down of McDermoth and Aberdeen High School this morning. Captain John Green said earlier this morning a homeowner on North M street awoke to find a man in his house, described as possibly Hispanic and wearing baggy clothing. Investigators tracked a suspect East toward the Aberdeen High School campus on G street.

Green tells us Aberdeen and Hoquiam units eventually lost the man this morning, and that schools in the area were locked down about 10 minutes. Investigators said it appears the suspect may have come in through an unsecured window, the investigation continues.
