Grays Harbor Emergency Management Talks Quake "Worst Case"

MONTESANO, Wash. - Federal and State agencies have identified Grays Harbor County as receiving the most significant impact in the event of a devastating earthquake off the Washington coast.
Deputy director of the Grays Harbor Emergency Management Agency Chuck Wallace tells us we are the topic of a workshop he is attending this week at Camp Murray. "We're just trying to make sure that our citizens are protected the best that we can, so that we can identify how soon assistance could get here in the event that we have a tragic situation."
Wallace said while residents should be prepared for a couple days of isolation before aid arrives, counties are also preparing.
State agencies are studying the worst case scenario, a 9.0 Quake in the Cascadia Subduction Zone - a major quake fault line that runs off of Washington's coast.
