Special Meeting Approves Increased Expenses to Cooridor Project

Cosmopolis, WA - A 5 minute special meeting with the Cosmopolis City Council on Friday will allow construction to continue on 1st Street. Mayor Vickie Raines said the DOT and Roglins found issues with Highway 101 that required repairs before they could move forward. Council approved change orders up to $25,000 Raines said they didn't want to stall the program until council could approve the extra funds at next week's meeting. Raines said even with multiple change orders so far, the Downtown Corridor Improvement Project remains well under budget.
