Community Hospital Settles EEOC Lawsuit

ABERDEEN, Wash. - Community Hospital in Aberdeen has reached a settlement over a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in August of 2010. The Hospital will pay a combined $125,000 to 3 individuals who were the subject of the complaint, and provide training to it's employees. The case stems from allegations by co-workers in the pharmacy department in August of 2007. Community has publicly denied any wrong doing since the case was filed, the consent decree stipulates that the Hospital admits no liability, and was a cost-saving incentive rather than following the case through the federal court system.
