Aberdeen Man Seeks Arrest

Posted by David Haviland on August 29, 2011 at 9:29 am (427 social interactions)

ABERDEEN, Wash. - Following a recent statement by Police Chief Bob Torgerson that officers are seeing more mental health issues on Aberdeen streets, an unidentified man threw a brick through the front window of the Jodesha Broadcasting Offices on Simpson Avenue Monday morning. When followed and questioned by reporters, the man said he did it because he wanted the sun to shine. Arresting officers said the man admitted he just wanted a place to stay, however Torgerson said "we're not seeing an increase in people that want to use the jail as housing for themselves, but we are seeing what appears to be more people suffering from mental illness."
No injuries were reported this morning, one woman was standing within 1 foot from where the brick came to rest.
