Child Birthing Classes Starting Soon

Expecting mothers, if your baby is due before October 30th, Jamie Newton is teaching child birthing classes beginning Tuesday September 6th at 6:30 at the Grays Harbor College - Room 2255. Signup by calling 532-9020

Amy Murphy with Grays Harbor Public Health and Social Services Department tells us "The classes are informative and fun. The classes will give you accurate information to make the delivery of your baby a special experience for you and your partner. You will have a chance to ask questions weekly."

Some of the topics covered are:

          Signs of labor
          Normal progression of labor
          Techniques for coping with pain
          Relaxation and natural breathing techniques
          How your partner can help during labor
          When to call your doctor or midwife
          Discuss drug options without making value judgments
          The information to feel confident about giving birth
          A hospital tour
          Fun freebies and movies
