Cosmopolis Mayor Vetoes Grass Regulations

Cosmopolis, WA - Mayor Vickie Raines announced today after feedback from listeners of Coffee Talk with Doug McDowell, she will exercise her veto powers to shoot down an ordinance passed this week to regulate the height of grass. Raines said she didn't like the wording in the ordinance "If you're going to make the residents abide by a certain law, then your business community should have to do the same."
Raines said council members are being notified of the veto, and the paperwork should be done later today, council will discuss the ordinance at next month's council meeting
