Concrete Slows Cosmopolis Improvements

Cosmopolis, WA - Concrete found underneath the sidewalks along Highway 101 in Cosmopolis have bumped up the costs associated with the Downtown Corridoor Project, Public Works Director Darrin Raines told the city council this week "when you escavate you're expecting to have some dirt, a little bit of gravel, maybe some chunks of debris. Under our asphalt we have concrete almost the entire length of the project so far."

With the project operating under budget, the council approved 25 thousand dollars more to cover potential change orders related to the delays.
