Commissioners Review Redistricting Plan

Aberdeen, WA - PUD Commissioner Dave Timmons defended his elected position yesterday at a redistricting meeting between multiple agencies reviewing 3 plans, one of which would move Timmons out of his elected district entirely "I took the vows I said to those people very seriously, and I have a job to do."
County Auditor Vern Spatz presented the plans to the group which included County, PUD and Port Commissioners as well as mayors of Cosmopolis and Westport. One plan sought to split Westport from District 3, while two of the plans would move Cosmopolis into District 1. The Commissioners agreed to ask the Auditors office to research alternatives that had less impact on changes to the current district map.
