Anti Panhandling signs in downtown AberdeenAberdeen, WA - Aberdeen has already seen improvements from signs discouraging panhandling, now the Downtown Business Improvement District is looking to add more signs, Chief of Police Bob Torgerson said the city also plans to offer business owners a window plaque "That one will say 'report aggressive panhandling.' If you feel threatened, [if] you feel that they're trying to force you to contribute or give to them, then you need to report it to the police."
Torgerson said while they don't know how much was collected from panhandling before or after the signs, people appear to be moving away from the two signs that were posted earlier this year.
