DSHS Opens New Building

ABERDEEN, Wash. - The Department of Social and Health Services Aberdeen Community Service Office will open the doors of its newly remodeled permanent site today at 415 West Wishkah Street.
The office has been operating out of a temporary location for the past two years while the permanent space was upgraded to make more efficient use of the space and consolidate other Department services into one location.
Consolidating multiple DSHS offices into one building saves the state and taxpayers money and  makes it an easier “one-stop shop” for customers.
The CSO provides food, medical, cash, child care and work-related assistance to eligible individuals in Grays Harbor County.  Four other DSHS offices are now also located at the permanent site – Child Protective Services, Developmental Disabilities, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Home and Community Services.
The office will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, but full services won’t be available until 10 a.m. that day. Normal business hours – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday -- will begin Tuesday, July 12.
